Hi All,
I was browsing the web about camoflage patterns and came across this video on the NY Times' web site. Its a demonstration of standing waves that I thought might interest some folks. The video is the first achived one on the page list (has a thumbnail picture of small candles).

I wish they'd offered up a little more information and maybe showed us the rig they used to break the beaker. It looks like a 1 inch thread on driver mounted in a 2 inch mounting flange.

It's both encouraging and mildly depressing to note those are all part of a modern HS physics curriculum...they were still squeezing the last miles from Duck & Cover when I was in school...
